Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. REEF Scuba is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States (EIN 85-0698477). All contributions are tax-deductible according to U.S. IRS guidelines. You’ll receive an email receipt for your records.
Where does my donation go?
Your donation directly funds coral restoration equipment and fieldwork in the Philippines and our expanding program in Mexico, educational programs for local youth, development of open-source AI and monitoring tools, travel to international conferences where we advocate for ocean protection, and safety and logistics for scientific diving operations.
Can I give monthly?
Yes, and it’s the most helpful way to give: predictable support lets us plan fieldwork and commit to long-term monitoring. You can change or cancel a monthly gift at any time.
Why does the payment form ask for a tip?
Our donation form is powered by Zeffy, which charges nonprofits 0% fees and is funded by optional tips from donors. The tip is optional and you can set it to $0. Either way, 100% of your donation reaches REEF Scuba.
Can my company match my gift?
